Apple debuts M4 MacBook Air, $100 off.
The latest MacBook Air models are now powered by Apple’s M4 chip, which was first introduced last year with the iMac and Mac mini. This processor includes 10 CPU cores and offers either 8 or 10 GPU cores, depending on the configuration. Apple claims that the M4 delivers 1.6x faster performance in Excel, along with a 2x speed boost in both iMovie and Adobe Photoshop compared to the M1 models.
We have already reviewed the 10-core GPU variant of this chip in our Mac mini M4 analysis.
Additionally, the new chip enhances external display capabilities, allowing the M4 MacBook Air to support up to two 6K displays at 60Hz—an improvement over the previous generation, which could only handle one.
