The Central Government of India, governed by BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) will enlarge the free ration scheme for about 80 crore for low-income people for the next five years. PM Narendra Modi announced the decision during the rally in the state of Chattisgarh. Elected officials evaluate that the move will entail a cost of approx Rs. 2 lakh crore.<\/p>\n
Right now, the beneficiaries of the NFSA ( National Food Security Act ) remunerate a small fee of Rs 1-3 Per kilogram for food grain.\u00a0 Under the act, Priority households acquire 5 Kilograms of food grain each person every month and AAY (Antodaya Anna Yojana) families obtain 35 kilograms per household each month, with strongly subsidized prices of Rs 1, 2, and 3 per kilogram for minor grains, wheat, and rice in the order mentioned. Although, the government will offer free ration beneficiaries as per the scheme in the year 2023. This will made public in a short period before the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY)\u00a0 completes on December 31, 2022.<\/p>\n

PMGKAY ( Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was inaugurated at the time COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020 to offer 5 kilograms of free food grain each person to NFSA (National Food Security Act ) beneficiaries. The national government has now combined with scheme of PMGKAY with the NFSA.<\/p>\n
The state officials called for the latest Cabinet decision a ” New Year’s Gift for the low-income peoples,” as quoted that over the 81.35 crore people will currently receive free food grains as per the NFSA.<\/p>\n
