Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to virtually address the 108<\/span>th<\/span> Indian Science Congress (ISC) today, that will mainly focus on certain majors to raise the representation of women in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and enhance their capabilities to get the identical entrance to STEM Education, research and economic involvement and contribution. This year the theme of ISC is \u201cScience and Technology For Sustainable Development with Women Empowerment\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our PM will inaugurate<\/a> the 108<\/span>th<\/span> ISC via video conferencing today at 10:30 am. There are plenty of programs scheduled to be held along with 108<\/span>th<\/span> ISC.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.There will be a \u201cScientific interest and personality\u201d program where Farmer\u2019s Science Congress that will provide the majors to \u201cenhance the bio- economy\u201d and to complete the moto of alluring the younger generation of India in agriculture sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. There is Equally important a Tribal Science congress program which will also be held as \u201cscientific display of indigenous ancient knowledge system and practice,\u201d which comes with a motive of the empowerment of tribal women.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program is going to be held at the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, where students can view the lectures by popular and\u00a0 successful women in the field of STEM as part of a special event. To again admire the contributions of women in these field.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deep Sea Mission \u201cBlue Economy\u201d<\/span><\/h2>\n

At the event, the Earth Science Ministry will concentrate on sea missions and technologies to get more ways to add on worth to India\u2019s economy in coming times.
