Bank is now removing this scheme and merging with Punjab National Bank\u2019s special Deposit Program.<\/p>\n<p>As per the information updated on<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Punjab_National_Bank\"> PNB<\/a> website, branch holders who are using the scheme named Fixed Deposit PNB Varshik Aay Yojana must know what will be the consequences after this scheme stopping and merging with PNB special Deposit Scheme.<\/p>\n<p>The customer of the Yojana will continue to get the benefits under the scheme.<\/p>\n<h2>Feature of PNB Varshik Aay Yojana (VAY) Deposit Scheme<\/h2>\n<p>1. <strong>Deposit Amount<\/strong> \u2013 Under this scheme the account holders can deposit a minimum of Rs 10,000 or multiple of Rs 1000.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Period Deposit<\/strong> \u2013 Account Holder can withdraw the amount after 2 year of deposit period.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Rate of Interest<\/strong> \u2013 Rate of interest is applied at simple interest rate. You can withdraw the amount at the time of maturity or after three months of interval as the case suggest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Demand Loan Overdraft Deposit<\/strong> \u2013 The minimum deposits of Rs 10,000 and more on written application will be entitled for Demand loan and overdraft facility. The account holder who are in need of overdraft facility, the same shall be allowed to get the facility through this account. Although, the real drawings from the overdraft account will be permitted for the account on the following day on condition that term deposit has been issued on the day on which overdraft account is sought.<\/p>\n<p>5. Account Holders have to deposit amount at least for 2 year and afterwards they can withdraw anytime.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0Rate of Interest<\/strong> \u2013 Interest rate in scheme is at simple interest rate. Scheme holder can withdraw the interest amount monthly at discount rate according to the preference of the payer.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0<strong>Exemption from charges<\/strong> \u2013 Chargeless transfer of the interest amount to different branches, for credit to customer\u2019s deposit account or loan account.
