I<\/strong>ndia won its 12th consecutive series against the West Indies. The last time team match loss against the Indies was in 2006. West Indies had won the five-match series 4- 1. The teams have played 12 series since then, however, West Indies has not won against India.
\nIndia took an unassailable 2 nil lead in the three – match series against West Indies. They won the second match played in Trinidad on Sunday (24 July) by two wickets. Earlier on Friday, in the first ODI, team India won by three runs. Batting first, West Indies scored 311\/6 in 60 overs. In reply, team India chased down the total (312\/8) in 49.4 overs . The hero of India’s victory was all-rounder Axar Patel<\/a>. He scored an unbeaten 64 while taking 1 wicket in his bowling spell.

\n3rd – Siraj took one run
\n4th – Axar won the match by hitting a six<\/p>\n

Nicholas played a captain\u2019s innings in the match. He scored 74 runs off 77 balls. Pooran was bowled by Shardul Thakur in the 44th over. Rovman powell was dismissed on the fourth ball of the 47th over. Powell was caught on the boundary to Shreyas Iyer in an attempt to hit a six. He scored 13 runs off 10 balls. Romario shepherd remained unbeaten on 15 and Akil Hussain scored six runs.<\/p>\n

Dhawan’s batting Failed<\/strong><\/p>\n

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and Shubham Gill tried to give a strong start to the team in this match. Both shared a 48 – run partnership for the first wicket. Indian captain Shikhar Dhawan, who scored 97 runs in the last match, failed to make a mark in the second ODI. He was dismissed for 13 runs off 31 balls. He was dismissed while trying to hit a short ball from Romario Shepherd over the third man boundary. Hooda, Shardul and Avesh played useful innings<\/p>\n
