The\u00a0process\u00a0to e- file ITR\u00a0is\u00a0quick, easy\u00a0 and\u00a0 it\u00a0 facilitates loan processing for the user in the long run. ITRs filed give banks a fair idea about the source of the individual\u2019s income, and the way the individual is committed to financial investments and repayments.<\/h3>\n

On the flip side, this allows the tax payers to apply for and obtain various loans from a financial institution.<\/h3>\n

The Government of India has made e-filing the ITR an easy to follow process. Unlike earlier, when the individuals had to hire a third person to fill their tax returns, you can now do it using the information available in Form-16 & Form 26AS. These are provided by the organizations in case of salaried individuals. In case you are a pensioner, State Bank of India<\/a> also gives the form-16 to the individual.<\/h4>\n

\u00a0Here is a step by step guide on how to login or Register on the e – Filing portal. <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Step 1: –\u00a0 \u00a0Visit\u00a0 the\u00a0 e – Filing\u00a0 website<\/a><\/h4>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0https:\/\/www.incometax.gov.in\/iec\/foportal<\/a><\/h4>\n

Step 2: –\u00a0Register\u00a0or\u00a0login\u00a0to e – file\u00a0your\u00a0returns.<\/h4>\n

Step 3: –\u00a0Click on ‘ Taxpayers’ and\u00a0then\u00a0enter\u00a0the details\u00a0of your\u00a0PAN and\u00a0click\u00a0on\u00a0‘Validate ‘. Next, click on ‘ continue’.<\/h4>\n

Step 4: –\u00a0Provide\u00a0details\u00a0such\u00a0as\u00a0your\u00a0name, address, gender, residential\u00a0status, date of\u00a0birth\u00a0etc.<\/h4>\n

\u00a0In\u00a0the\u00a0next\u00a0step, you\u00a0will\u00a0get\u00a0 some\u00a0 schedules\u00a0 in\u00a0 which\u00a0 your\u00a0 personal\u00a0 information\u00a0 will be asked\u00a0 and\u00a0 below\u00a0 you\u00a0 will\u00a0 see\u00a0 field\u00a0 v\/s\u00a0 you\u00a0 need to\u00a0 select\u00a0 139 (1) .\u00a0 After\u00a0 scrolling\u00a0 the\u00a0 page you\u00a0 will be\u00a0 aksed\u00a0 about\u00a0 your\u00a0 Bank\u00a0 Account\u00a0 that\u00a0 should\u00a0 be a\u00a0 validated\u00a0 one.<\/h4>\n

Step 5 : –\u00a0 Provide\u00a0 your\u00a0 Email ID\u00a0 and\u00a0 registered\u00a0 mobile number.<\/h4>\n

Step 6 :-\u00a0 Provide\u00a0 your\u00a0 FD’s\u00a0 Interest , Dividend<\/a> , Income and if there\u00a0 is Exempt\u00a0 Income below\u00a0 you\u00a0 can also\u00a0 fill\u00a0 that\u00a0 too.<\/h4>\n

Step 7 :-\u00a0 Fill\u00a0 all\u00a0 the\u00a0 schedules\u00a0 correctly . In\u00a0 case , you don’t\u00a0 have\u00a0 your\u00a0 IP . Address\u00a0 you\u00a0 can\u00a0 also\u00a0 fill\u00a0 your\u00a0 city’s\u00a0 name.<\/h4>\n

Step 8\u00a0 :-\u00a0 Once\u00a0 the\u00a0 form\u00a0 has\u00a0 been\u00a0 filled\u00a0 up\u00a0 , click\u00a0 on\u00a0 ‘ continue’ .<\/h4>\n

Step 9 : –\u00a0 You will\u00a0 have to verify\u00a0 the\u00a0 details\u00a0 following\u00a0 which\u00a0 a\u00a0 6 – digit\u00a0 one\u00a0 time password\u00a0 ( OTP) Will be\u00a0 sent to\u00a0 your\u00a0 registered\u00a0 mobile\u00a0 number\u00a0 and E- mail address .<\/h4>\n

Step 10 : – Enter the OTP follow the instruction given to complete the registration process successfully .<\/h4>\n

Step 11\u00a0 : –\u00a0 Once\u00a0 the\u00a0 OTP\u00a0 has been verified\u00a0 , a new\u00a0 window\u00a0 will\u00a0 open where\u00a0 you\u00a0 will\u00a0 have\u00a0 to\u00a0 verify\u00a0 the\u00a0 details\u00a0 provided\u00a0 by you .\u00a0 In case , any\u00a0 details given\u00a0 is\u00a0 incorrect , you\u00a0 can\u00a0 change\u00a0 it ,\u00a0 following\u00a0 which another\u00a0 OTP\u00a0 will\u00a0 be\u00a0 sent\u00a0 to\u00a0 validate\u00a0 the\u00a0 change.<\/h4>\n

Step 12 : –\u00a0 The\u00a0 Final\u00a0 step\u00a0 will be\u00a0 set\u00a0 up a\u00a0 sent\u00a0 to\u00a0 your\u00a0 mobile\u00a0 and\u00a0 E – mail\u00a0 Id .<\/h3>\n

To file an ITR , the option of File New will be there on the dashboard . You need to check current Assessment year like ; that would be 2022 – 23 ( current A.Y) . and you will choose mode of\u00a0 Filing online and after that you will click proceed with ITR.<\/h2>\n

There will be some question like , why do you want to file an ITR. After\u00a0 that\u00a0 you\u00a0 have to\u00a0 click\u00a0 on\u00a0 continue .<\/h3>\n
