In the first semi-final of the Cricket World Cup 2023, immortal of cricket Virat Kohli broke his 50th ODI hundred, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s historical record.

Inside the legendary Wankhade Stadium, he outshone his role model Sachin Tendulkar in a single,  masterful innings, shattering records with flair. In the same way, India opened the batting in a reprise of the 2019 World Cup semi-final. Captain Rohit Sharma impose the style, slaughtering the bowlers in the powerplay.

Of great significance today, Virat Kohli, the icon of the game broke the semi-final barrier as he cracked the record on this biggest platform. Playing with the magic of maestros as he made a gem of innings in opposition to Kane Williamson’s New Zealand, enshrining his name forever remembered in annuals of cricket.

Kohli inscribed his name in the annals of cricket with brilliant innings that catapulted him beyond the iconic Sachin Tendulkar in the archives of World Cup records,  his exceptional feat of eight 50-plus scores in the 2023 World Cup excelled Tendulkar’s record of seven-half centuries in the year 2023 edition, reached this noteworthy threshold in just 10 innings. At the same time, Tendulkar had held 11 innings to achieve the same level.

Openers of India made a flying start with Rohit Sharma achieving 47 off 29 balls before termination in the 8th over. Legend Virat Kohli assumed leadership, playing a masterful knock of 59 balls to keep the momentum going in opposition to New Zealand bowlers.

Kohli’s expertise was expertise throughout the competition, his knack for hitting big runs was a key element in India’s triumph,  having accumulated after his 72nd One Day International half-century, as his gaze was intently focused on outshining Tendulkar’s noteworthy benchmark in the year 2023 World Cup.
