Update the Aadhaar Address of your Family Members without Any Address Proof – Use HOF Authentication Method – Needed Documents

Aadhaar issuing body UIDAI provide various options to Aadhaar number holders to create Virtual ID (VID), retrieve VID, and replace the VID with a new number provided by the card holder.

UIDAI helps Aadhaar card holders to avoid the difficulties while updating the details of their 12- digit biometric identity card.

Now subscribers can make changes in their own and their Family’s Aadhaar Card even if they do not have address proof with the help of ‘Head of Family (HOF) based Aadhaar Update option,’ just by visiting the nearby Aadhaar Centre.

To update Aadhaar address of your family members where the address proof is not available, you should use Head of Family based Aadhaar update method.

Now what you need to do is just take the Aadhaar of the Head of Family whose Aadhaar address is updated. Then get the relationship document (a document where the relation between name of applicant and Head of Family is written).

The HOP can be your Father, Mother, Husband etc.

Next you will need the fingerprints biometric of the head of Family to verify Aadhaar card address update at Aadhaar Seva Kendra.

You can Use these Authentic Documents to Confirm Proof of Relationship with HOP

1. Passport

2. Ration card / PDS card

3. Marriage certificate issued by the central government

4. Pension card

5. Birth certificate issued by central government or private hospitals when the child age is between 0-5 years.

6. If you don’t have any of the documents use the print out of self- declaration form from the HOF to ascertain the proof of your relationship with the Address Owner who is now residing at the same resident as the Head of Family.

  • Fill this before the deadline of three months.
