UIDAI Alerts: If Your Aadhar Card Is Issued 10 Years Back, Will Have to Be Updated

If your Aadhar card is issued 10 years back, it will have to be updated. The unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) alerts those people who had got their Aadhar made ten years ago and never updated them since then, so UIDAI has asked urgently to update Aadhar Card by issuing a declaration “such Aadhar number holders are appealed to get their documents updated who has issued Aadhar card 10 year back and have not updated their Aadhar number after that.”

The provision of document update is provided to the Aadhar holders with authorized payment and the Aadhar holders can update the registered report related to individual identity proof and address proof in the Aadhar card details. This provision can also be of use or availed online.

‘Aadhar Card Materialized as Individual’s Identity’

UIDAI declared that during this ten years Aadhar card has materialized as the authentication or evidence of individual‘s identity and Aadhar card is being used for taking advantage of many government schemes and services. 

However, in order to take advantage of this card in near future people have to keep the Aadhar card details updated with their latest characteristic data so that there will be no aggravation in Aadhar corroboration and attestation.

It is worthy of note that UIDAI is a statutory authority, that was launched by the Indian Government on July 12, 2016 under the Aadhar Act, 2016. 

The Moto was to issue Unique Identification Number (UID) called ‘Aadhar’ to all the inhabitants of India so that duplicate and counterfeit identies can be put an end to.

Do This to Update Details in Aadhar

In accordance with UIDAI website, there are 2 dissimilar methods you can get your data updated:-

  1. First by droppin on Permanent Enrolment centre you need to find closest enrolment centre by clicking on “Locate Enrolment” on www.uidai.gov.in
  2. Second use online methods go to self service update portal click “update Aadhar Details (online)” on www.uidai.gov.in

Payment for Refurbishing Your Aadhar Card

You will have to make payment to service provider Rs 50 (counting taxes) every time you will see your particulars or data updated, it can be biostatistics or socio – demographic.
