India and Greece have agreed to strengthen their strategic partnership by formalizing joint ventures in defense manufacturing and expediting a migration pact during talks aimed at revitalizing bilateral relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kyriakos Mitsotakis elevated their cooperation to a new level, highlighting convergence on key issues and shared objectives in tackling the threat of terrorism. They held in-depth discussions to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in various domains. Both parties recognized their shared vision and goal in combating these issues and boosting their collaborative endeavors.
Greek leader Mitsotakis embarked on a two-day visit to India, leading the prestigious Raisina Dialogue as a keynote speaker. Discussions covered a comprehensive spectrum of regional and global issues. India expressed strong appreciation for Greece’s proactive involvement in shaping the future of the Indo-Pacific and fostering regional stability and cooperation. India welcomed European nations’ decision to join the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI) as a step towards enhancing cooperation in the region.
Both leaders discussed the potential for enhanced partnerships across diverse sectors such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, technology, innovation, and skill development. They aimed to identify opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and to double bilateral trade by 2030.

to play a significant role. Both parties agreed on the need to reform the UN and other global institutions. They also aimed to foster collaboration between Indian and Greek startups to promote transparency.
