Ten BJP MPs and Two ministers resign from Parliament after assembly poll wins

In a move that demonstrates the cyclical nature of participation in national and state politics.  Ten Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) member of parliament (MPs) including two union ministers gave up their Lok Sabha seats today based on the information, the registration are a consequence of their recent electoral triumphs in state legislative assembly polls.

In a significant political development, ten BJP members and two union ministers were reassigned to their state assembly elections. The resignations, which consist of Lok Sabha MPs and One Rajya Sabha MPs,  highlight the blurring of lines between national and state political spheres in India.

10 Members’ names such as:

  1. Prahlad Joshi (Minister of state for coal and mines)
  2. Shobha Karandlaje ( Minister of state for agriculture and farmers welfare)
  3. Kailash Chaudhary ( Minister of State for Jal Shakti)
  4. Anurag Thakur ( Former Union minister of Information and Broadcasting)
  5. VD Meena ( Former Deputy and Chief Minister of Rajasthan)
  6. R K Verma
  7. Anantkumar Hedge ( Former Union minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship )
  8. Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma ( Former Union minister of health and family welfare)
  9. Arjun Munda (former deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand)
  10. Sanjeev Balyan  ( Former minister of state for social justice and empowerment )

Rajya Sabha MP

One Rajya Sabha MP named Kirori Lal Meena also submitted his resignation. The BJP’s MPs’ resignations will trigger- by-elections, offering both BJP and opposition parties a chance to assess public opinion before the 2024 general elections.  Also, the BJP’s decision to allow its victorious MPs to resign from Parliament reflects the party’s focus on state-level politics.
