Speaker of the US House of representative, Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday night. Her visit has heightened tensions between china and the US. China has described speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan as a major political provocation to enhance official relations between the US and Taiwan and said china would never accept it.

The Ministry warned the US
The ministry said that the US congress should strictly adhere to the US government’s one – china policy and refrain from any official exchanges with china’s Taiwan region. Pelosi reaffirmed her country’s unwavering support for Taiwan’s democracy and said the visit was not contrary to long standing US policy towards Taiwan.
