IAF(Indian Air Force) aircraft Sukhoi-30 and Mirage-2000 both the jets which are being used at the
frontline at the Indian air defence ended to a tragic fatal event after they were involved in an incident in
which the two Sukhoi -30 pilots ejected safely with some injuries and were taken to the hospital by the
IAF chopper from their landing sites , while French made Mirage-2000 which was piloted by one pilot ,
the pilot couldn’t make it and succumbed to death. The incident took place on Saturday as reported by
the IAF officials.
The jets took off from IAF base in Gwalior. The crash is said to be happened near Madhya Pradesh-
Rajasthan border while performing the training exercise, one jet crashed in Morena in Madhya Pradesh,
the other went down 100 km away in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.
Both the fighter jets are said to be from Gwalior Air Force base which has squadrons of both the
Russian-designed Sukhoi and the French Mirage 2000.
A tweet from official IAF account which read following was made, “Two fighter aircraft of IAF were
involved in an accident near Gwalior today morning. The aircraft were on routine operational flying
training mission.
One of the three pilots involved, sustained fatal injuries. An inquiry has been ordered to determine the
cause of the accident.”

In an another tweet from IAF official handle which informed about the fallen pilot and sorrow from the
IAF fraternity read, “The IAF deeply regrets to inform that Wing Commander Hanumanth Rao Sarathi
suffered fatal injuries during the accident. All air warriors and the fraternity stand strongly with the
bereaved family.”
