India’s wrestler were protesting against the secretary of the Wrestling Federation of India, the sports ministry on Saturday suspended the addition secretary, Vinod Tomar.
After hearing his suspension, Vinod refused the news and said that he was not aware of any such movement.
On Saturday a meeting was held between the Sports Ministry and Wrestler Vinesh Phogat. The secretary works with the wrestling Federation of India’s chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, and looked after the daily affairs of the WFI.
The 28- years old Vinesh Phogat accused that Brij Bhushan Sharan had been molesting female wrestler and one of them tried to commit suicide due to the treatment meted out to her by the president of WFI.Wrestler of India like Sakshi Malik and many others on 18th January did a protest against the WFI.

The Sports Ministry has asked WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to resign from his post within 24 hours and Suspended WFI Secretary Vinod Tomar.
The Sports Ministry after suspension of Vinod Tomar also asked the WFI to postpone the under way Ranking Tournament that is happening in UP’s Gonda. The Ministry has given the instruction to Federation to return the price of admission fee charged to contestant for the ongoing competition.
Let us inform you that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is also a Bharatiya Janata Party member of parliament from the state Uttar Pradesh.
Brij Bhushan denied all the allegations. Yesterday the WFI refused all accusations, including sexual persecution, tagged against WFI President, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, asserting that “there is no scope for irresponsibility and Flightiness” in the sports body.
The Federation denied to accept the allegations of sexual harassment and called “Venomous and unfounded”.
