The 45th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries limited concluded on Monday. The company’s chairperson and managing director Mukesh Ambani addressed the AGM through video conferencing. Apart from them, Isha Ambani and Akash Ambani also gave information about the future plans of Reliance Retail and Reliance Jio at the AGM.
Mukesh Ambani announced about Jio 5G service that the company will role out this service in the country by Diwali this Year. He said that Reliance Jio will set up the world’s largest 5G network with an investment of Rs 2 lakh crore.
Akash- Isha -Anant Ambani took the directorship role
Mukesh Ambani has indicted to gradually hand over the responsibility of his business to the new generation. He said at the 45th AGM of Reliance Industries that he is handling over huge responsibilities to Akash, Isha and Anant Ambani in various segments of the business. Under this, Akash Ambani will be given the responsibility of Reliance Jio. Isha Ambani will get the responsibility of Reliance Retail’s business. At the same time, Anant Ambani is being entrusted with the responsibilities of new energy business.
RIL chairman announces clean energy mission
Mukesh Ambani said in his address that we are working on a plan to spread the new energy business model across the world. Working in line with India’s Net Zero Emissions goal, we will increase investment in the manufacturing ecosystem to make India a global leader in new energy.
Under this plan, we have acquired REC Solar for manufacturing solar PV. Last year I announced the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga complex in Jam Nagar to set up four giga factories . Today I want to announce our new Giga Factory, which is part of the clean Energy Mission.
Reliance will launch new FMCG business
This year Reliance Retail chairman Isha Ambani made a big announcement for Reliance Retail and said that a new FMCG business will be launched this year. A new agreement has been singed between WhatsApp and Jio Mart. Under this, the facility of WhatsApp pay will be available to Jio Mart.
Reliance Jio will launch cloud based PC service
Reliance Jio will launch cloud based PC service. Work is being done with google for 5G Smart phones. Along with this, indigenously developed end to end 5G stack which which will be equipped with advanced technology like quantum security. It has been developed in- house by more than 2000 young engineers of Jio.
Ambani told about 5G service that it is ultra high speed Fixed broad brand, with the help of which high quality educational content will be provided in every classroom across the country.
