Rail Minister Announces India’s 1 st Hydrogen Train will be manufactured by 2023 on Heritage Routes

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced the manufacture of India’s st Hydrogen train will launch by December 2023.

Moreover speaking over the manufacture of hydrogen trains for the first time in country, Ashwini Vaishnaw said in press conference that budget aims on green growth. Now Indian railway will also continue with the newly designed hydrogen train which will launch by December 2023 and will be manufactured in India.

For the first time, the train will run on heritage circuits like popular Kalka- Shimla route and further it will also expand in all over India. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision thought to visit cultural heritage
via trains is set to be updated by including new circuits such as Gurukripa circuit to the list.

Previous month, Ashwini Vaishnaw had said they are making a prototype of a hydrogen fuel- based India train at the Northern Railway site that will start a test- run on the route of Sonipat- Jind Section in Haryana. And soon they will introduced the hydrogen trains on the heritage route that will start its run from December 2023.

It also mean that these heritage routes will go completely green. The hydrogen train in India will be like a growth engine. Last day the Finance Minister has allocated Rs 2.41 lakh crore for Rail Department that will bring a big change for the sector as it will complete the necessity of every passenger.

The Rail Minister also said that the Railway in India is developing every year. And it is now under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station’ scheme, where 1275 stations are being improving and manufacture of Vande Bharat trains will be renovated.

Let us inform you that before 2014 only 3km of track were laid in a day, it increased to 12km of track in a day in the present time, and the Goal for the coming year is 16km of track a day.
