In other words, PM Modi launched a number of new development projects in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on October 2, 2023. These projects are worth a total of approximately Rs 26,260 crore.
In Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh, Prime Minister Modi opened a new gas pipeline that cost Rs 4,500 crore. This pipeline will help to promote a gas-based economy.
PM Modi also opened a new liquified petroleum gas (LPG) plant in Abu Road, Rajasthan, which is operated by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). This plant will be able to bottle and distribute 8.6 million LPG cylinders per year. It is expected to reduce the number of trucks transporting cylinders by about 0.75 million kilometers per year, which will save about 0.5 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year.
The Prime Minister also opened a new four-lane road on NH-12 (now NH-52) between Darah, Jhalawar, and Teendhar. This road cost more than Rs 1,480 crore to build and will make it easier to transport mined produce from Kota and Jhalawar districts.
Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stones for widening the railway overbridge from two lanes to four in Sawai Madhopur. Today, he inaugurated several railway projects, tourism facilities, and the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kota.
Prime Minister Modi opened the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway and laid the foundation stones for five other road projects in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The expressway cost approximately Rs 11,895 crore to build, and the new road projects will cost over Rs 1,880 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated over 2.2 lakh homes constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) and houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) with a total cost of about Rs 140 crore. This is in line with his vision of providing a concrete house for every family in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Jal Jeevan Mission projects worth over Rs 1,530 crore in Gwalior and Sheopur districts, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supplying safe and adequate drinking water. These projects are expected to benefit more than 720 villages in the region.
Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stones for nine health centers under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission and inaugurated and launched several other projects. These developments come ahead of the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, which are expected to be held in November-December.
