PM Narendra Modi on 8th November disclosed the website of India’s G20 Presidency, logo and theme. The logo carries a lotus that gives a sense of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – it means One Earth, One Family and One Future.
PM Modi said the lotus in the logo is a symbol of hope during unveiling G20 logo via video conferencing. “The world is enduring agony after- effect of discombobulate once in a centurial contagion or pandemic, dispute and lot of economic unpredictability. The symbol of the lotus in the G20 logo is a delineation of hope in these tough times. It doesn’t matter how disadvantages the situations, lotus still prosper or blooms”.
Our country will presume the presidency of the strongest G20 grouping from the present- day chair, Indonesia, on December 1and grasp the post for a whole year. The G20 leaders Summit at the level of Heads of Government state is organized to be held on September 9 and 10 in 2023 in New Delhi.
PM Modi termed India the ‘Mother of democracy’ and said India’s endeavor will be to make sure that there is no first world or third world, but only one world.

Importance of the G20 Logo
‘Lotus’ is not just the hieroglyph, but a piece of Information, an emotion that is running through our veins. Yes, this is a resolve, which is now being inserted in our minds. This logo reflects our belief of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the whole earth is a family), the reason why India has always believed in global kinship and cordial.
“The Lotus Flower stands for our Puranic inheritance, our belief and boddhikta (intellectualism)”.
Significance of G20
The G20 was made in 1999 in the grounds of the financial cataclysm and emergency of the late 1990s that hit East Asia and Southeast Asia in specific. Its motto was to fix Worldwide Financial Solidity by encouraging middle- income countries.
Its well- known representatives are: EU, The US, The UK, Turkey, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Republic of Korea, Japan, Germany, France, China, Brazil, Australia and India. “G20 is the foremost forum for international economic collaboration constituting about 85 per cent of the global GDP, more than 75 percent of the Worldwide trade and around two- third of the global population participation throughout the course of its G20 Presidency, India is going to hold around 200 conference in 32different fields in various areas across the country.
