PM Modi Will Virtually Address the 108th Indian Science Congress (ISC) Today, Theme and Facts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to virtually address the 108th Indian Science Congress (ISC) today, that will mainly focus on certain majors to raise the representation of women in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and enhance their capabilities to get the identical entrance to STEM Education, research and economic involvement and contribution. This year the theme of ISC is “Science and Technology For Sustainable Development with Women Empowerment”.

Our PM will inaugurate the 108th ISC via video conferencing today at 10:30 am. There are plenty of programs scheduled to be held along with 108th ISC.

1.There will be a “Scientific interest and personality” program where Farmer’s Science Congress that will provide the majors to “enhance the bio- economy” and to complete the moto of alluring the younger generation of India in agriculture sector.

2. There is Equally important a Tribal Science congress program which will also be held as “scientific display of indigenous ancient knowledge system and practice,” which comes with a motive of the empowerment of tribal women.

The program is going to be held at the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, where students can view the lectures by popular and  successful women in the field of STEM as part of a special event. To again admire the contributions of women in these field.

Deep Sea Mission “Blue Economy”

At the event, the Earth Science Ministry will concentrate on sea missions and technologies to get more ways to add on worth to India’s economy in coming times. This year we will see the further growth in “Blue Economy”, an umbrella term that is used for economic benefits from the oceanic ecosystem.
