PM Modi opens Wildlife Rescue Centre in Vantara.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Vantara in Gujarat, a sprawling sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation of wildlife. Housing over 1.5 lakh rescued, endangered, and rare species from more than 2,000 classifications, the facility stands as a beacon of wildlife preservation.

During his visit, PM Modi explored Vantara’s integrated approach to animal welfare. At its cutting-edge wildlife hospital—equipped with MRI, CT scan, and ICU facilities—he observed advanced veterinary interventions. The hospital features specialised units for wildlife anaesthesia, cardiology, nephrology, endoscopy, dentistry, and internal medicine. He also witnessed an MRI being conducted on an Asiatic Lion and a critical surgical procedure on a leopard that had sustained injuries in a highway accident
