In the recent good news for India in it’s 75th anniversary independence year is coming from 6th edition of Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) being held in new Delhi from 1st-4th October 2022.
The inaugural ceremony of Asia’s largest technology exhibition India Mobile Congress (IMC 2022) was opened by our visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The event was also graced by equally very important dignitaries Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Communication, Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communications, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairperson, Aditya Birla Group Shri Mukesh Ambani, CMD, Reliance Industries, Shri Sunil Bharti Mittal, CEO, Bharti Enterprises, and others.
The day 1 of IMC was all about digital modernization and 5G networking. The 5G services in India is said to be get live in 22 cities in it’s 1st phase of the rollout including Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Lucknow, Pune, Siliguri, and Varanasi. Major network operators of India BSNL, JIO, AIRTEL and VI, all talked about their future plans and expansion of their respective networks.
AIRTEL:
Airtel users can already experience the 5G services from 1st oct if they have a compatible 5G device in some areas of Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Varanasi and Siliguri with total coverage across the country expecting till March 2024.
JIO:
Jio revealed that it is also set to achieve its total Network coverage across the country by Dec 2023. However, it is going to launch its services this year to it’s users of Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, and Kolkata by October 24 on the festive occasion of DIWALI this year.
BSNL:
Bsnl has also revealed that it is all set to Provide its services to its people by the 15th of august 2023.
Vodafone Idea:
Vodafone-Idea might be working on its rollout plan however no major official update was made by them on the day1.
5G is seen as a major update in the Indian technological verse and said to take Indian tech generation to the next level. PM MODI has even gone to the extent to say that “By the end of this decade, we should be able to launch 6G services, and our task force has started working on it.”, It certainly has given boost to the views of all Indian on the mindset of Internet usage and its advancement.
