PF Withdrawal Rules Revised

Rules of withdrawal from the Provident Fund (PF) account have been constantly changing. Pursuant to this, the Employees  Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has updated these rules in 2022. These revised rules will ensure easy access to funds by their subscribers who face various financial hardships.

Account holders can only withdraw 75% of the net balance in their net account balance. Either this, or an amount equal to three months of the basic salary plus DA (dearness allowance), whichever is lower.

You can now file a claim online, and these online claims are now in the process of settlement within 3 working days, whereas, offline claims will be settled in upto 20 days. You can now file the claims at https://www.epfindia.gov.in, and go to the ‘Services’ section to proceed with the claim.
