The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup. It is a cricket tournament where national teams from different countries compete in One Day International (ODI) matches. The tournament is organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This edition of the World Cup will be held in India from October 5 to November 19, 2023.
A total of 10 teams will participate in the tournament. The current champions are England, as they won the previous edition in 2019. This World Cup will be the first time that India hosts the event all by itself. In the past, India co-hosted the tournaments with other countries in 1987, 1996, and 2011.
In the 2023 men’s ODI World Cup, India and Pakistan will have a cricket match. The match will take place on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This information was announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday.
The tournament will begin on October 5 with a match between England and New Zealand. These teams played an exciting tied final in 2019. They also played against each other in the opening match of the 1996 World Cup, which was also held in Ahmedabad. India’s first match will be against Australia in Chennai, three days after the tournament opener.
The final match is scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19, 2023. The two semifinal matches will be held in Mumbai and Kolkata.
