Around 68 passengers have died after a 72- seater plane crashed on the airstrip at Pokhara International Airport in Nepal on Sunday.
According to the recent news rescuing works are in progress and the landing strip is closed for some time.
Nepal’s Yeti Airlines plane that crashed between the old runway and the Pokhara International Airport was carrying a total of 68 passengers and Four Crew staffs, the Kathmandu post informed.
There were 5 Indian citizens and 15 overseas passengers onboarded on the Yeti Airlines flight. Actually, the plane crashed when it was trying to land at the Pkokhara International Airport in the midst of unpleasant weather states.
The plane then caught fire as it crashed on the landing strip. The images and videos which is now available on social media platforms showed plumes of smoke blazing from the accident place.
There were thirty- seven men, twenty- five women, three kids and three were newborns, Nepal’s civil aviation authority informed. Searching efforts were stopped after the evening, Army official Krishna Prasad Bhandari reported that the search will again start from Monday Morning.

Nepal’s Prime Minister Reaction after the Accident
The PM of Nepal Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal talked with the people and said he is deeply sad with the news of disastrous accident. He made appeal to the security personnel and government departments to begin an efficacious rescue.
The central government announced today a public holiday to grieve for the Victims.
