India’s star Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra continues to perform brilliantly. Neeraj Chopra won the Diamond league finale with a best throw of 88.44m. Neeraj is the first Indian athlete to win this title. Neeraj also qualified the
finale in 2017 and 2018 as well, where he finished at seventh and fourth respectively.
But this time Neeraj achieved another success by winning the Diamond Trophy. In the Diamond League finale which is held in Zurich. At the begning Neeraj had a poor short and his first throw was a foul. Then on the second attempt he throw the Javelin 88.44 meters away and took the lead over the opponents.
Neeraj throw 88.00 meters in the third attempt, 86.11 meters in the fourth, 87.00 meters in the fifth and 83.60 meters in the sixth attempt.
In the Diamond league final, Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic finished second with 86.94m and Julian Weber of Germong (83.73) came third. Neeraj has won Olympic gold in 2021, Asian Games gold in 2018, World
Athletics Championship silver in 2022. His wish was to win the Diamond Trophy, which has now been fulfilled.

The Diamond League is considered the most prestigious track and field competition after the Olympic and the world championship. Neeraj Chopra was awarded the Diamond Trophy prize and $30,000. Not only this, he has
also got a wild card entry for the world Athletics championship which is going to be held in Budapest, Hungary in 2023.
Neeraj could not take part in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games
Earlier Neeraj was injured after the World Championship. Due to which he could not take part in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. After the recovery he won the gold medal in the Lausanne Diamond League with a
throw of 89.08m.
Neeraj from Panipath, at the age of 24 Got qualified for the Diamond League finals in 2017 and 2018 but then finished seventh and fourth.
