Multiplex: Today Kashmir’s First Multiplex inaugurated

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated Kashmir’s First Multiplex today morning. Actor Aamir Khan’s Film Laal Singh Chaddha will be screened on the first day. The people of Kashmir get its First Multiplex Cinema in which people can watch films from Bollywood to Hollywood.

This multiplex is being produced by INOX. It has a seating capacity of 520 people. Let us tell you that this is the first cinema hall in Kashmir since 1989.

The decorations of the multiplex have carved ceilings, which features architecture inspired by the Central Asia of Kashmir.

In this multiplex, the youth will get everything that they get facility in multiplexes elsewhere. In order to maintain the art and design of Kashmir, a Kashmir wooden “Khatamband” is being used in the lobby.

Along with a Silver Screen in the auditorium, speakers with better sound quality also installed.

Total Capacity of 520 Seats

Kashmir first Multiplex has three cinema halls with a total capacity of 520 seats. For promoting local cuisine there will also be a food court in the premises and local residents associated with the handicrafts business.

The owner of the prestigious private school Vijay Dhar told that the multiplex has opened to the public today with a special screening of Actor Aamir Khan’s new film Laal Singh Chaddha.

He also talked about regular shows that will commence from 30 th September with the screening of Vikram Vedha starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. Soon such multiplex cinema halls would be opened in every
district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Cinema halls will soon be inaugurated in Anantnag, Srinagar, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar and Reasi.

It is known that cinema halls in the valley were closed in the early 90s often the roots of terrorism ere deep in the Kashmir region.

Earlier in Kashmir there were about 15 cinema halls at fraught by the terrorist who forcibly closed cinemas people or government didn’t try to reopen cinema halls.
