The price of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders was increased by Rs 350.50 and price of domestic cooking gas was hiked by Rs 50 on 1st March, Asian News International (ANI) reported.
A 19- kg commercial LPG Cylinder is now going to cost you Rs 2,119 in National Capital, Rs 2,220.50 in Kolkata, Rs 2,321 in Chennai and Rs 2,071.50 in Mumbai.
A 14.2- kg domestic Gas cylinders will cost Rs 1,103 in Delhi, Rs 1,102.50 in Mumbai, Rs 1,129 in Kolkata and Rs 1,118.50 in Chennai. This is the 2nd time this year that the cost of Gas cylinders and domestic cooking gas hiked.
On January 1st , the cost of commercial LPG cylinders were hiked by Rs 25 each. On the other hand the last cost of domestic cooking gas was increased on 6th July’2023. The price revision came about in the middle of a steep rise in global crude oil and fuel costs due to the Russian attack on Ukraine.
Cost of LPG cylinders increase or decrease in tune with crude oil rates in the International Economy also it affected by the exchange rate between the Indian rupee and Unites states dollar.
