Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham 2023 – Both the Pilgrimage sites are two of the four holy Char Dham Yatra for the devotees. Every year thousands of devotees reach these Dham Yatra.

The door called as Kapat of Kedarnath will open for the pilgrims on 25th April’2023.

Badrinath Dham is open for the General Public on 27th April’2023, according to the promulgation made by the administrative board of the Dham. The promulgation was made during an event that took place at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. Once the Kapat (door) is closed for the winter season in November, the god is conveyed from the Kedarnath temple to Ukhimath for benefaction and worship.

The Badrinath Temple is also one of the most holy pilgrimage sites in India and cited as ‘Char Dham’. The Four most holy temples called as Char Dham Yatra includes – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.

Visiting these place involves long treks or slogs and days of walking to finally reach the destination, the temple. The temple Badrinath is situated in the Garhwal hill tracks in Chamoli district by the side of the banks of the River Alaknanda, the temple is dedicated to Deity Vishnu.

The Dham is kept open for 6 months annually (between the end of April and beginning of November).

How you can reach the Temple

Kedarnath Pilgrims who travels by airplanes take their flight to Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun after reaching the airport, they can hire taxis and cap. The city is also well connected to Dehradun and Haridwar by bus.

And if one travels by Train will have to reach at Rishikesh Railway Station and then can take a bus.

Badrinath – The closest railway station to Badrinath is Rishikesh, which is located 295kms before Badrinath on NH58 and as the place is connected by Indian railway networks, covers the major temples of India.
