The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023 were won by Indian Film director Vivek Agnihotri’s “Kashmir Files” and SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”.
The award function was held on 20th February i.e. Monday. Actor Alia Bhatt received an award for her performance in “Gangubai Kathiawadi”. Other Actors such as Anupam Kher, Rekha, Rishab Shetty, Varun Dhawan and Ranbir Kapoor were also awarded.
Director SS Rajamouli’s Film RRR starring Ram Charan and Junior NTR, was awarded film of the year as Vivek Agnihotri’s directed film The Kashmir Files was awarded as “Best Film” at the Film Festival’s award function.
Actor Rishab Shetty of the movie Kantara was named ‘Most Promising Actor’. The Couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were honored as ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Actor’ for their roles in Brahmastra Part One- Shiva and Actress blockbuster movie Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Varun Dhawan was awarded with ‘Critics’ choice ‘Best Actor’ for his Appreciable acting in Bediya, while Anupamaa Kher was honored named ‘Most Versatile Actor’ of this year for his role and performance in the Kashmir Files.
Rekha was also awarded in the film festival function for her ‘Outstanding Contribution in the Bollywood Industry’. Also TV series Neeti Mohan, Sachet Tandon, Zain Imam and Anupama received the prizes.
Excellent Web series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness starring Ajay Devgn, was awarded as ‘Best Web Series’ at the ceremony. The Dadasaheb Phalke International film festival every year honors and celebrates Indian cinema Industry’s abilities and artistry.
