Indian Navy swoops in to rescue 21 from hijacked vessel in daring Arabian Sea operation
  • Responding to a hijacking distress call, India’s Marine Commandos mounted a swift operation from a warship in the north Arabian Sea, successfully rescuing all crew members of the MV Lila Norfolk, a cargo ship targeted by Somali pirates. All 21 individuals, 15 of whom were Indian citizens, were safely evacuated from the ship’s secure area. Subsequent clearance operations confirmed the absence of any remaining hijackers.
