Indian Air Force Day 2022: This year Air Force will turn 90 years of celebrating Indian Air Force Day on 8th October’22. For the first time in History Air Force Day will be celebrated outside Delhi, earlier it was celebrated every year in Delhi- NCG, this time it will be celebrated in Chandigarh.
Many people assemble or participate in this program, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, the chiefs of the three services and people from various senior officials.
Let us inform you that Indian Air Force day, previously it was decided to celebrate at Palam place but due to lack of space it was later decided to celebrate in Hindon. In Chandigarh this parade will be held in the morning at the airbase. The Fly past will take place in Sukhna Lake from around 2:30 pm to 4:45pm.
The Indian Air Force is one of the top air forces in the world. It has the strength to kill even the strongest enemy in minutes. This day is celebrated to immortalize or admire the establishment of the Air Force in India. India started celebrating this day officially on 8 October 1932, this day is celebrated to raise awareness about the India Air Force, since start there has been a remarkable achievement by the India Air Force as it has been involved in Four wars with Pakistan and One with China.
Also took part in World War II by cutting of Japanese forces in Burma. It also provides Aid to the disaster affected areas during natural calamities. Quite a number of times air force military rescued the people from different parts of India.
On October 8, our nation’s flying heroes will make this day special with their mesmerizing flying skills. This day reminds us the selfless contribution of these heroes and their hard work, dedication and courage, because of those people we are safe and living peacefully today.
Significance
Indian Air Force indispensible and crucial mission is to keep the Indian air space safe for us and to lead pneumatic fighting during armed encounter. Since 1950, the IAF has been engrossed in many conflicts. Its significant activities attempted by the incorporated operation Vijay Meghdoot, operation poomalai and Operation Cactus. Our president holds the office of supreme commander of the IAF.
As of 2022, there are approx 3, 11,357 officers are serving in the Indian Air Force.
