India is all set to Host 3 SCO Ministerial Meetings, NSA Meet on 14th March (Virtual)

India, as the present chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), is all set to host 3 ministerial meeting of organization, the Meeting of Energy Ministers on 14th March’2023.

The first meeting is scheduled to held on 14th March and will take place virtually.

The second meeting – the Sports and Youth Affairs Ministers is scheduled to held on 15th March in New Delhi while the third meeting – the tourism ministers meeting is set to be held in Kashi (Varanasi), on 17th March.

Kashi is the first -ever SCO world cultural and the tourism capital for 2022- 23, increasing the importance of the Tourism Ministers Meeting. This March it will mark the 1st time since the country took over the SCO administration last year that ministerial conferences of the grouping have begun.

At the end of the Month, on 29th March, India will host the highly expected SCO National Security Advisers meeting, the Arrangement of which is yet to be decided. The meeting will be hosted and chaired by India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.

Let us inform you that the country has recently hosted the SCO Chief Justices meetings with various nations’ representatives. Noticeable non- attendance was Pakistan with their Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial due to mismatched time table. Although, Justice Munib Akhtar of the Superior Court of Pakistan appeared virtually.

The SCO working plan significance has increased remarkable with Iran becoming a complete member under Indian Presidency. The Enhancement has caught the attention of various other nations from West Asia, who wants to join the organization. India became the Full Fledged member of SCO in 2017.
