Holi 2023 – Your Before and After Skincare Tips to Ensure your Health and Glow for Rango wali Holi

As you know Holi just around the corner, it’s time to prepare to play festival of colours, while the celebrations are fun- loving and exciting.

Before you starts playing the Festival, it’s important to take a good care of your skin as the colours used during Holi can be unpleasant to your skin, leaving it dry, irritated and even harmed.

Here is how you should take care of your skin in this Holi –

Before- Holi Care

1. Start your preparation on time – Holi is also considered as the beginning of summer that means easy dehydration of the Individuals body and skin. So, it is advised to consume more water and also hydrate the skin with a suitable body lotions. This helps the skin to prevent the entry of Holi colours into the skin during the Carnivals.

2. It is important to stop exfoliants one week before playing Holi: – Exfoliants relinquish your upper skin cells that is helpful to avoid allergen; like colours, fragrances and dyes.

3. Apply the Sunscreen – Using sunscreen you can avoid tanning. In summer you should use SPF 30-50 and PA+++ also check “water- resistance” label on any sunscreen product.

4. Try to wear long- sleeved clothes.

5. Do not wear tight clothes on athleisure – These affects your skin Colour and increase the possibilities of allergic reactions.

6. Apply Coconut oil on your body skin and hair – Coconut oil occludes the skin and hair surfaces that avoid deeper penetration of the hair colours. It is become more necessary for nail cuticles.

7. Apply light moisturizer – This way you can prevent acne issues.

After- Holi Care

1. To remove the colours you should use a syndet bar on body wash that is pH balanced.

2. Use cleansing balm/ cotton dipped in oil to separate colours.

3. For your face, you should use non- foaming cleanser, one that consists acetyl or sterile alcohol that hydrate your skin while separating the colours.

4. If your skin feels dry or unpleased, do not use vitamin C or retinoid.

5. Use cica extracts/ allantois with moisturizer that helps to pacify the skin.

Before – Holi Care

  •  Before playing Holi, start your day oiling your body using olive or coconut oil. It helps to defence your skin from harmful chemicals they may contain.
  •  Use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more.

After – Holi Care

  •  After playing with colours, rinse your skin, hair with cold water because hot water open your skin pores, that makes it tough to separate the colours.
  •  Make sure to use a mild cleanser when you wash your hair and skin to separate the colours because soaps and shampoo uses can make your skin dry.
  •  After cleansing the colours, use a good moisturizers.
