Google’s next-gen Pixel phones are on the horizon.

The Pixel 8a, Google sets August 13th for the global launch of its mysterious brand series is in the lineup. Rumors suggest the timing is a strategic move to steal Apple’s thunder before the iPhone 16 reveal in September.

Google’s “Made by Google” event kicks off at 10 am PT on YouTube, promising a showcase of their latest AI, Android, and these devices advancements. While details are scarce, rumors point to the reveal of both Pixel 9 and its Pro versions. But the excitement doesn’t stop there – whispers suggest a surprise in this Pro variant and even the return of the foldable Pixel, potentially under the new Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Get ready for a potential design overhaul in the Pixel 9 series! Leaks suggest the Pixel 9 Pro might come in two sizes: a standard 6.1-inch and a larger 6.7-inch OLED display. Both are rumored to boast high refresh rates and sharp color accuracy for a smooth and visually stunning experience.

The bigger “Pro” model might also sport a redesigned camera bar, with a sleeker, vertical pill-shaped housing on the back. This is a significant departure from the previous horizontal camera design.

The Pixel 9 Pro might boast a new feature called Adaptive Touch. This technology adjusts the screen’s sensitivity to things like weather or a screen protector you’ve applied, ensuring a consistently responsive experience.

Color options galore: When it comes to colors, you might have your pick of black, white, green, or pink for the Pixel 9 Pro.

Powerhouse under the hood: Google’s next-gen Tensor G4 chip is rumored to be the brains of this pixel series. This chip, co-developed with Samsung, promises a significant performance boost and enhanced AI capabilities. Improved thermal management and efficiency are also on the table. However, some reports suggest the upgrade might be more modest than initially anticipated.

Multitasking made easy: The Pixel 9 Pro could come with a whopping 16GB of RAM, allowing you to run multiple apps smoothly and enjoy a performance edge, especially for AI-powered tasks.

As always, this series shines with its cameras, and the Pixel 9 Pro is no exception. Expect a powerful triple-lens rear system that leverages Google’s advanced computational photography. Rumors suggest a big sensor with a variable aperture, perfect for capturing stunning low-light images and giving you creative freedom. Plus, improved AI features like Magic Editor and new tools powered by the Gemini Nano AI promise next-level photo and video editing.

The series tackles past connectivity issues with a brand-new, improved modem. This could even include satellite connectivity, similar to the iPhone’s Emergency SOS, for staying reliable in remote areas.
