As the Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has states that the notification concerning the recovery of the old pension scheme going to be promulgated in a short time.
The state government is all set to put into effect this scheme as it was before January 1, 2004. The settlement will be financially advantageous for lakhs of preceding or former employees of Punjab. Accompanied by this, Punjab Education Minister also said that there are uneasiness or worry that are being elevated by some employee organizations that DA and handout will be chiseled in by the state government during the time of execution of the old pension scheme, but it is not the case.

According to the report the same worker captain also requested the cabinet minister that while recovering the old pension scheme, there will be no changes made by the government, because the former workers will not endure it under any repercussions.
