EPFO Members can Access their Online EPF Passbook again on EPFO Portal, Know Steps to Check E- Passbook

EPFO members can access their online EPF Passbook again on EPFO Portal. The e- passbook service was unavailable for the past few days, which created disruption too many EPFO members or subscribers.

The Passbook page was not approachable due to “technical maintenance related issues”, as per the Flash on the EPFO portal. ET Wealth online accessed the subscriber passbook page on the Employee’s Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) portal on 19th January’2023.

EPFO tweeted, “Dear member, https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassbook/Login is working now”.

The e- passbook facility starts on 19th January evening.

Steps to check e- passbook

Subscribers of EPF can check their e- passbook, via EPFO official website and Umang app.

Process to check through EPFO website

  •  Visit the official EPFO portal www.epfindia.gov.in .
  •  Tap on the ‘Our Services’ and select the “For Employees” from the drop- down menu.
  •  After reaching the log in page. Fill your UAN number and password.
  •  Select “Member ID”. After this “View Password from the menu”.
  •  Now, your PF details will flashed on the screen.

Steps to Check EPFO E-Passbook via UMANG app

  •  Open Umang App and tap on EPFO tab.
  •  Tap on ‘employee centric services’.
  •  Tap on ‘view passbook option’.
  •  Now fill your UAN and one time password.

Important Points to Remember

  •  This service is to check the E- Passbook for the EPFO subscribers who registered themselves on the Unified Member Portal.
  •  Passbook is available after 6 hours.
  •  Changes made at Unified Member Portal will work after 6 hours.
  •  Passbook will have the entries that has been reconciled at EPF offices.
  •  Passbook facility is not available for settled, exempted establishments and Inoperative members.
