Congress Announced Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s Name to be Next CM of Himachal Pradesh- Oath Ceremony Today

On 8 th December, the Congress Party secured 40 seats in the 68- member Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha or House of assembly, after the won the party announced Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s name to be the next Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.

The Party also make known to the public that Mukesh Agnihotri will become the Deputy Chief Minister.

However it was not easy for the party to choose one name for the CM post. It almost took two days of manic considerations over the names of a few party members or contenders, finally the party decided the name of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu currently holding the post of congress party’s campaign committee chief) also Himachal Pradesh’s Former State President, and the MLA from Nadaun, for the CM seat.

Yesterday the party summoned a gathering of the CLP ( Congress Legislative Party), where Mr. Sukhu was chosen as the next CM of Himachal Pradesh. Then, members also went to visit Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to proclaim to make the government in the Himachal Pradesh.

The Oath- taking ceremony will take place today i.e. on 11th December. On the previous day the Congress Legislative Party members had permitted the party general head to choose the Vidhan Sabha’s next leader.

According to the party members Mr. Sukhu edge out the other contenders like Pratibha Singh and CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri as a large part of members of Legislative Assembly supported Mr. Sukhu.

According to the sources the settlement to empowering was happen after disagreement to choose a single name for the CM post among the ‘bickering’ in the party’s unit and witnessed the competition between Mr. Sukhu and Pratibha Singh’s members.

The party beholders for the state- including Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, one- time Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Rajeev Shukla visited Shimla to attend a meeting with the incoming newly appointed MLAs.
