Brazilian Football Legend Pele Died at 82, Messi and Ronaldo Pay Tribute to the Star

Brazilian Football legend player died on 29 th December, Thursday at the age of 82. The player had been suffering from cancer, he also battled with Kidney and hearts issues. Pele was admitted to hospital on 29 th November.

He had been regularly getting hospital checkup since September 2021, at the time when a tumor was separated from the player’s Colon.

His daughter, Kelly Nascimento, informed his demise in an Insta post, she shared a photo of the family holding the hands of the legend. Her caption “we love you endlessly. Rest in peace”.

Tributes Paid to the ‘King Pele’

Pele’s death news incited a wave of solace from all the corners of Globe, Brazilian government has announced three days of mourning in the country.

President- elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva posted a tribute on Twitter. He wrote about the felt fortunate to have seen the player’s Football game.

Brazilian Football superstar Neymar Jr. wrote that “Pele changed everything,” he has given a voice to the poor, to black people and allowing existence to Brazil.

Brazil’s CBF Soccer Federation said Pele gave a New Brazil to them and they can only thank him for his legacy.

Portuguese Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo paid a tribute to Pele by posting on his Insta page, saying the demise of “King Pele” has sent great agony throughout the Soccer World.

Argentina’ Footballer Lionel Messi, captain of Argentina team, paid tribute to the legend in a lost on Insta. Kylian Mbappe “The King of football has left us but his legacy will never be forgotten”. Many more list of legacy will clubs showing their condolences via Insta and Twitter posts including Chelsea FC, Manchester United and England’s national football team also Croatia’s Football Federation.

Pele was the one of the best Football players ever. Till now, he is the only player who has won three World Cups (1958, 1962 and 1970). He also became the youngest- ever scorer in the Finals.

He played for Brazil team and Football clubs sides Santos and New York Cosmos. He comes in the list of top goal scorer, with 77 goals in 92 games.

After this much Achievement as a soccer player, the legend went on to take a number of posts, such as a UNESCO Goodwill ambassador.
