Chartered flight carrying Indian passengers leaves France after investigation

A chartered flight carrying 300 Indian passengers departed France today after facing a four-day delay grounding at the rural airport due to a human trafficking investigation as the chartered plane carrying these passengers to Central America has finally departed Europe.

While 276 passengers set off for their Central American destination, 27 remained in France. Among all those staying behind were two questioned by authorities about a potential human trafficking case. However, after confirming everyone boarded the plane voluntarily, both individuals were released.

Emphasizing the asylum seekers which the plane carried not only a young child and unaccompanied minors requiring special attention but also individuals yearning for a new start. Different passengers requested asylum in France, while others had already made similar appeals.

Highlighting efficient resolution where commending swift resolution of the situation, the Indian Embassy in France expresses its appreciation to the French government and Vatry Airport authorities for their hospitality and support in facilitating the return of Indian passengers.
