The launch of the Second Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the second Vande Bharat Express train running between Varanasi and New Delhi today. Significantly to mark a step forward in India’s high-speed rail ambitions, the train will be flagged off at 2: 15 pm. The routine operation is scheduled to commence on December 20, 2023.
According to the announcement by Northern Railway, the 2nd Vande Bharat train on the Varanasi – Delhi route will be saffron in colour which highlights the authoritative nature of information and also has multiple features.
Elevate train experience as this train has cutting-edge passenger experience like onboard Wi-Fi infotainment, GPS-based passenger information system, plush interiors, bio-vacuum toilets with touch-free conveniences, ambient lightning, soft illumination, and charging points, personalize adjustable lamps, integrated window shades.
Emphasizes overall improvement in comfort and enjoyment, and highlights advanced features integrated into each passenger seat. Furthermore, it also has a better climate control system and a State-of-the-art HVAC system with UV-purified air for optimal hygiene—a climate-adaptive thermal management system. The train will start from 6:00 am from Varanasi to reach New Delhi at 2:05 pm. Departure time for Varanasi after 55 minutes at 3:00 pm and reach New Delhi at 11: 05 pm.
It was running six days a week except for Tuesday. Routes departing from Varanasi at 6:00 am, the train will reach Prayagraj at 7:34 am, Kanpur Central at 09:30 am, and last will reach New Delhi at 2:05 pm.
The return journey will depart from New Delhi at 3:00 pm, then reach Kanpur Central at 7:12 pm, Prayagraj at 9:15 pm, and reach its final destination in Varanasi at 11:05 pm.
First Vande Bharat train 22436 on this route runs and offers daily services between New Delhi and Varanasi which initiates from 6:00 am and reaches its destination at 2:00 pm while it departs for New Delhi at 3:00 pm and reaches it at 11:00 pm. Six days are working except for Thursday.

The First saffron-grey Vande Bharat train was launched on September 24 between the Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram routes in Kerala. Among the nine inaugural Vande Bharat trains launched by the Prime Minister via video conference on September 24th.
