Itel P55 5G: India's First Affordable 5G Smartphone

Itel is reportedly set to launch India’s first entry-level 5G smartphone, the P55 5G, at an affordable price. This is a significant development, as 5G smartphones are currently mostly mid-range or high-end devices. Not much is known about the P55 5G’s other specs, but 5G connectivity is reportedly assured to be its main feature.

Itel is expected to launch India’s first entry-level 5G smartphone, the P55 5G, for under Rs. 10,000, according to a 91Mobiles report.

Itel is expected to launch its first 5G smartphone, the P55 5G, in late September, just in time for the festive season. The company, known for its affordable smartphones and tablets, recently released the A60s and P40+, starting at Rs. 6,499 and Rs. 8,099, respectively.

The Itel A60s has a quad-core Unisoc SC9863A1 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display, a dual 8MP AI camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging. The Itel P40+ has an octa-core Unisoc T606 processor, a 7000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, a 6.8-inch HD+ IPS screen, and an AI-backed 13MP dual rear camera sensor with an 8MP front-facing camera.

The speciality of the Itel P55 is that it is expected to be the first 5G smartphone in India to be priced under Rs. 10,000. This is significant because 5G is the next generation of wireless technology, and it offers much faster speeds and lower latency than 4G. Having a 5G smartphone at such an affordable price tag would make 5G more accessible to Indian consumers.

In addition, the Itel P55 is expected to be an entry-level smartphone, which means that it will be targeted at budget-conscious consumers. This is a good thing, because it means that more people will be able to experience the benefits of 5G, even if they cannot afford a high-end smartphone.

Overall, the Itel P55 is a significant development for the Indian smartphone market. It is expected to make 5G more accessible and affordable for Indian consumers.
