TVS X: New electric scooter with long range, advanced features launched in India
TVS Motor Company has released its second electric scooter, the TVS X. The scooter is built on the TVS XLETON platform, which is known for its strong aluminum construction. The TVS X is a high-end scooter that offers a variety of advanced digital and connected features, including an intuitive navigation system, a map for finding EV chargers, and real-time vehicle location sharing.
The TVS X has a ram air-cooled motor that provides efficient cooling in a variety of driving conditions. The scooter also features a new permanent magnet motor that can reach a top speed of 105 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.6 seconds. Riders can choose from three different driving modes: Stealth, Xtride, and Xonic.
The TVS X is powered by a 3.8 kWh battery that can be recharged from 0 to 50% in just one hour using a 3 kW fast charger. It also features selectable regenerative braking and a cutting-edge ABS system for enhanced safety.
In addition to its electric prowess, the TVS X is also a smart scooter. It is equipped with Play Tech, which allows users to access wellness, gaming, browsing, and live video functionalities. The scooter can also be seamlessly connected to smartphones, smartwatches, and helmets. Furthermore, it is equipped with Smart Shield, a security feature that protects it from unauthorized access.

It has a long-range battery. The TVS X scooter is powered by a 3.8 kWh battery that can deliver a range of up to 140 kilometers on a single charge. This makes it a great option for people who need to travel long distances on a scooter.
This electric scooter has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is also offering a portable 950W charger for Rs 16,275 and a 3 kW smart home charger. However, this does not qualify for the FAME subsidy.
Bookings for the TVS X are now open and deliveries will begin in November 2023. The scooter will be exported to all TVS global markets starting from the next fiscal year.
