Aam Aadmi Party Leader Manish Sisodia has been sent to Judicial Custody till 20th March

Concerning the allegation of connection with the liquor excise policy scam in National Capital. Court sent Sisodia to Delhi’s Tihar Jail – the place where colleague Satyendra Jain is also sent in a money laundering case for now.

Special Judge MK Nagpal lodged Sisodia to jail after perceiving the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had not sought further charge of National Capital’s education minister.

Manish Sisodia is allowed to take a dairy and pen to Jain and items like his spectacles, some prescribed medicines, Bhagwat Gita for meditation.

The court has given the direction Jail authorities to accept his plea to be kept in the prison’s meditation cell.

Sisodia will argue for bail before the same court on 10th March. He had earlier went towards Supreme Court but his petition was discarded, the Superior Court admitted it had the right to intercede however, it would set a bad precedent. Sisodia, 51, was taken into detention by the Central Bureau of Investigation on 26th February, after this the Rouse Avenue Court lodged him to agency custody for 5 days.

In his bail request Manish Sisodia argued that CBI officials were kept repeating the same questions.
