IRCTC New Rules: After 10 Pm Rules Introduced by Indian Railways – Know the New Instructions and Luggage Rule

IRCTC New Rules: Indian Railways has introduced new rules for passengers who travels in trains during night. These new rules are issued to maintain the comfort of passengers.

IRCTC On- board TTE (Travelling Ticket Examiner), catering staff and other related employees were asked to provide a convenient public etiquette in trains and direct people.

According to the new rules Passengers are forbidden from smoking, consuming alcohol or do any activity against public approval in train compartments.

IRCTC New Rules

  •  From Now on no passenger can talk on the mobile in loud voice while they are in compartment, coach or their seat.
  •  No passenger listen to music at high volume.
  •  Passengers are not permitted to keep the light on after 10 pm, except night lights.

After 10 Pm Rules

  •  TTE is not allowed to check the tickets after 10 pm.
  •  All lights should be switched off, except night lights.
  •  Group’s travellers are not allowed to interact after 10 pm.
  •  Lower- birth co- passengers will not say anything if a middle- birth co- passengers wants to open their seat.
  •  Online food in train services is not allowed to serve food after 10 pm. Although, passenger can pre- order their food in the train with e- catering services.

New Luggage Rule

  •  Passengers who travels in an AC coach can carry a maximum luggage weight of 70kg. In the sleeper class they are not allowed to keep a maximum luggage weight of 40kg and in the 2nd class 35kg luggage is free.

Yes, there will be extra luggage charges in the AC coach, passengers will be permitted to carry 150kg in sleeper 80kg and a 2nd sitting 70kg of one’s belongings.
