The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on 26th February evening.
As per the officials in connection with claimed corruption while executing the states excise policy for the year 2021-22.
The Aam Aadmi Party at the same time insisting that these charges are false. As Sisodia came out for questioning, many Aap leaders had guessed that Deputy CM would be detained by the CBI yesterday. The Police had also arrested about 50 people- including Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh and Rai- for Protesting nearby the CBI office during Investigation. “The Aap is an adamantly sincere party and the BJP’s fear was seeable to everyone’s face”, Party leader Atishi claimed.

All the Charges against Manish Sisodia?
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is mainly charged with the CBI FIR for the Delhi Excise Policy ‘Scam’. The now withdrawn Nation Capital government policy to permit licenses to alcohol traders had purportedly favored a few dealers who paid bribes.
As per the reports presented by the Delhi Chief Secretary, Delhi’s Deputy CM undertook certain decision and actions that were in infringement of the statutory provisions and appraised excise policy that had vast monetary inferences.
After following this report, CBI started the investigation. The charges include allowing excessive favor’s to license traders, weaver or cutting of license fee and adjunct of L-1 license without the expert authority’s permission. The investigation agencies claimed that beneficiaries diverted “unlawful” benefits and made deceitful entries.
The CBI has although not named Manish Sisodia in the written record as the central investigation agency kept the inquiry open against accused Deputy CM and other suspected people.
