Uttar Pradesh Budget 2023: Government Proposed Rs 200 Crore for Gorakhpur Industrial Corridor, Aiming to Achieve $1 Trillion Economy, Check Updates

Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna is presenting the UP’s annual budget, for the Financial year 2023-24. The State Government of UP proposed Rs 200 crore for Gorakhpur Industrial Corridor and Rs 3,600 crore for tablets and smartphones to students.

This is the 2nd budget for ‘Yogi 2.0’, or CM Yogi Adityanath. The 2023 Uttar Pradesh Budget presumes importance also because of the lower house of the parliament of India (Lok Sabha) elections, scheduled for April- May 2024, as India’s most populous state, Uttar Pradesh sends 80 members to the Lok Sabha or House of the people- this number is highest among all States and Union Territories.

In 2014 and 2019, the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has won 71 and 62 seats respectively from UP and surpassed the majority mark in the lower house of the Parliament on its own.

Next year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP will look for their 3rd term at the Centre.

  •  Five international airport will become functional in Uttar Pradesh.

International airports are not finished yet in Jewar and Ayodhya and soon 5 international airport will be active in UP. The Uttar Pradesh government has planned to increase the runways in Jewar Airport from two to five.
