T20 World Cup Starts from 16th October, Team India Will Play On 23rd, Check Schedule

The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is going to start from 16th October and its final match will be played on 13th November at the historical Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

In this World Cup 16 teams are going to play. A total 45 matches which will be held at 7 different locations in Australia. Team India will start its first match against Pakistan on 23rd October.  

Like 2021, this time also the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will be organized in three parts. First qualifier round started from 16th October.

After qualifier there will be match of super 12 and then its final which will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

There Are Two Groups in the Qualifier Round

Group A – Sri Lanka, Namibia, United Arab Emirates, Nether Land  

Group B- West Indies, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Scotland.

There Are Two Groups in Super- 12

Group A- Australia, Afghanistan, England, New Zealand, A1 (Winner of group A), B2 (Runner -up of Group B).

Group B- India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, A2 (Runner -up of group A), B1 (Winner of group B).

The qualifier round matches will be played from October 16 to October 21. The Super – 12 matches will starts from 22nd October which will continue till 6th November while the Semi- Final matches will be played on 9th and 10th November.

The Final of the T20 World Cup will be played on November 13 at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The First match of the qualifier round will be played between Sri – Lanka and Namibia. Another match will be held on the same day between Netherlands and UAE.

The first match of super – 12 will be between hosts Australia and New Zealand while on the same day another match will played between Afghanistan and England. These matches will be played on 7 different grounds of 7 venues of the T20 World Cup in Australia.  Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Perth and Sydney.

The Final match will be played at the MCG while the Semi- Final will be hosted by the Sydney Cricket Ground.
