BJP workers have started a campaign against the Mamata government and in many cities which includes the capital Kolkata. For safty reason against BJP Performers, a large number of police have been deployed and barricaded near the secretariat in Kolkata.
The police have fired tear gas shells and water cannons at the workers. There was also a clash between BJP workers and police at Bolpur railway station. Police is stopping BJP workers from going to Kolkata to take part in Nabanna campaign.
On being detained, the officer said that the people of Bengal are not with Mamata Banerjee, so she is doing dictatorship like North Korea in Bengal. Dilip Ghosh has accused the Bengal Police of acting like Trinamool workers.
Siege Planning from 3 sides
BJP deployed special forces has planned from 3 sides for secretariat siege. Sukanta Majumdar from Howrah railway station, Shubhendu Adhikari from Santragachi and Dilip Ghosh from College Street were supposed to go to the secretariat, but the police stopped all three. The Bengal police had deployed Special Forces to arrest the leaders.
Demonstration of power before the assembly session
The sessions of the assembly is starting from September 14. In such a situation, it is believed that this performance of BJP is an attempt to show power on the road.
In the protest, BJP has made an issue of corruption of Trinamool leaders in Bengal. Two strong Trinamool leaders Partha Chatterjee and Anubrata Mandal are in Jail on charges of corruption.
Ghosh called for a Peaceful March
BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh is expected to lead the procession from north Kolkata, while leader of opposition Suvendu Adhikari will be part of the rally from Santragachi area.
At the same time, the party’s state president Sukant Majumdar is likely to join the procession in North Kolkata. Dilip Ghosh said, The TMC government is fighting the rebellion of the people.
Serious allegations against Mamta Banerjee
BJP leader Rahul Sinha accused the Mamta Banerjee government of trying to forcibly stop the “democratic protest”.
Sinha said,” Our supporters were prevented from boarding a special train from Alipurduar to Sealdah on Monday evening and even lathi- charged by the state police. The train later left with our workers and supporters.
