The proposal to change the name of Raj Path which comes under the Central Vista Avenue area in the national capital Delhi as Kartvya Path has been passed. This resolution was passed in a meeting of the New Delhi Municipal Corporation. Now PM Narendra Modi will name and inaugurate the Kartvya Path Today.
This is being seen as an attempt to eradicate another trace of slavery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken ‘Pancha Prana’ from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15, in which the second vow is to complete abandonment of the slavery mentality.
During the last eight years, Government has traces the slavery were eradicated from everywhere.
Actually this path was called ‘Kingsway’ in honor of King George V which was later translated into Hindi and made Raj Path. Now Narendra Modi has changed both the name completely. It tooks some 20 months to change this image of central Vista. Now this path will be known as Kartvya Path from September 8.

A Statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
A statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is situated in the place of King George’s statue at India Gate, which will unveil by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8th September.
The Flag of the Navy which was used as a mark of Sir George’s Cross, is replaced by the stamp of the Hindu emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Names of Streets Changed
In the year 2015, the name of Aurangzeb Road was changed with the name of Former President A.P.J Abdul Kalam. Dalhousie Road was renamed as Dara Shikh Road in the year 2017, and in the year 2018 Teen Murti Chowk has been renamed as Teen Murti Haifa Chowk.
1500 Laws were cancelled by Modi Government
Modi Government cancelled 1500 laws passed during the slavery period of the British era. Such laws were repealed one by one as soon as the Center took over in the year 2014.
The Date of Budget also changed
Not only the date of the Budget has changed, but the provision of Railway Budget to be presented separately in Parliament is also abolished. And now it is included in the Annual General Budget.
